Stunning and rare example of British Art Deco engineering, this two-tier cake stand was manufactured by the prestigious Adolph Scott of Birmingham under their luxury "Amnora Plate" trade name.
Unlike standard vintage stands, this piece features the stamped Patent Number 28118, signifying the original documented mechanical design for its metal frame and removable "drop-in" trays.
Removable Trays: Both trays lift completely out of the frame, allowing them to be used as individual serving dishes or vanity trays.
Pierced Gallery: Intricate reticulated fretwork rims on both tiers prevent sliding while adding a light, elegant silhouette.
Art Deco Aesthetic: Features the iconic arched handle and tripod-style curved legs typical of high-end 1920s-30s Birmingham silverware.
Condition: This piece has been is about 100 years old and was nicely cared for. There are some stains, scratches and patina on the side supports. The silver plating on the dishes has a few age appropriate scratches but it retains a brilliant, mirror-like finish with no "plate loss".
