Majestic Antique Victorian Elkington silver plated handled stand for six culinary bottles. It is sold with an full collection of cut glass and lead crystal bottles with stoppers. They are a set with two replacement bottles, all antique and of the period. The stand is signed on the base and numbered for the model. The marks are rubbed but the last letter is Y in a diamond shape lozenge corresponding to 1862 in Elkington system of marks.
The stand is in good condition, with normal wear and no loss of plating. The bottles have normal antique wear with one bottle having a little blunt chip on the top, no sharp edges and no cracks. One tall bottle has a little loss of metal wrap around the neck under the metal pepper-cup, exposing cement underneath that acquired green hue from the oxydation. All the bottles show faint fluorescence in UV light confirming their antique provenance.
