This beautiful bottle is decorated with "lens" or cabochon cutting on the top and along the lower part of the bell shape body. It has a geometric stopper, polished pontil, and exhibits a typical Biedermeier silhouette.

The cut-to-clear lens cabochons slice directly through the cobalt blue casing to reveal the clear crystal underneath. These round, circular clear windows (lenses) on both the body, and the lower rim, are deeply ground stone wheel cuts.

The stopper is created as a geometric prism, it has a diamond-faceted, hexagonal shape which fits perfectly into the neck.

These design elements mirror the architectural fashions, typical of Central European craftsmanship between 1820 and 1840. Another feature is a stepped Biedermeier silhouette: with the geometric stopper inserted, the classic squat, stepped-shoulder, profile confirma the attribution to the early 19th-century dressing table glass pieces.

Condition: very good with only minor flea bites and wear: a micro flake on the edge, which I see but cannot feel when I run my finger along the edge, also the top edges of the geometric facets on the stopper show tiny, microscopic flea bites, entirely expected and normal for a piece of crystal that is nearly 200 years old.

Dimensions: just under 5 inches high or 10 cm including the stopper and about 3 inches or 8 cm wide, it is very heavy at about 313 grams.
