A fine silver-plated sugar or chocolate caster, also known as a muffineer, of baluster form raised on a spreading circular foot, the lower body with vertical reeding, the upper body plain, rising to a pierced domed cover with pull-off finial.
Origin: English, ca. 1890–1920. Silver plate on brass.
Condition: Very good, with minor surface wear and light polishing marks on one side on the lower body shown in the photos, all consistent with age and use; no repairs.
