Art Deco silver necklace dating to the beginning of the 20th century, set with three natural moonstone flat-back cabochons in closed silver cup settings. The stones have domed tops and display the subtle adularescent glow typical of moonstone.
The necklace features pierced butterfly or flower like panels and elongated geometric connector links, characteristic of Central European jewellery of the period.
The reverse of the stone settings is stamped “SILVER”, a mark commonly used on early 20th-century export jewellery from Austria, Silesia and Bohemia.
Untouched condition, antique patina left uncleaned. Delicate, light and beautifully made, with one age sign - a bite on the back of one of the paste stones shown in the photos. About 16 inches or 41 cm end to end.
Unique and rare piece survived to be shown and charished. the necklace is very light and super delicate.
