Ted Lapidus Paris - Authentic Vintage Gold plated Signed Brooch with round cabochon in Black Enamel 

Authentic Vintage Brooch by the legendary French fashion designer and perfumer Ted Lapidus. It depicts stylised kissing fish. The brooch is created in black enamel and gold metal and is decorated by a central cabochon.  

Ted Papidus began his tailoring career at Christian Dior’s fashion house. With the support of his friend Charles Aznavour he opened a fashion jewellery house under his own name. His costume jewellery was an addition not only to his clothing lines, but also to perfumes.  

This brooch from Lapidus is a true example of this poet of French fashion, representing both elegance and classicism. 

The condition is good, there are age cracks on plating on one side of the brooch. The brooch is 3 inches wide. It closes with a trombone clasp.
