A high-quality late Victorian serving dish by noted Birmingham silversmith Henry Bourne. This heavy, well-proportioned piece features a thick-walled cut glass liner that exhibits a vibrant neon-green fluorescence under UV light—a characteristic of 19th-century manganese-cleared glass.

Material: Silver plate over a high-quality Nickel Silver (EPNS) base.
Features: Detailed cast fish finial, scrolled loop handles, and four supporting ball feet.
Glassware: Heavy-gauge clear glass with a geometric large-rhombus (diamond) cut pattern.
UV Profile: High manganese content provides a strong, neon-green glow under UV light (365nm-395nm).

Condition Report:
Glass: Good antique condition; minor "flea bite" nibbles to outer corners commensurate with age. No cracks or deep chips.
Metalwork: Structural integrity is excellent. The lid shows light, honest plating wear on top from historical polishing. Because the base metal is silver-toned Nickel Silver, the wear is subtle and blends naturally with the silver plating, maintaining a uniform aesthetic.
Will be carefully packed and dispatched with Road Mail registered delivery (the dish is heavy).
