Beautiful Art Deco sterling silver delicate necklace with a Scandinavian feel about it. Length 16.5 inches.
Clean-lined modernist style, the necklace has a closed back, engine turned decoration around the blue coloured centre, and is suspended by a silver chain with an antique barrel bayonet clasp engraved "sterling".
The central disc is decorated with two small dangling glass blue guilloche discs, set in silver and attached by chains to the main disc. There was possibly one more small dangling disc at some point, probably removed by a jeweller, as the space on the bottom edge of the central disc (between the two dangling chains) looks neatly altered although I can't be sure - see the photo of the reverse bottom side of the circle. The design has a Scandinavian feel about it, although the only mark is "sterling" on the bayonet closure, dating the necklace to late Edwardian or early Art Deco era, circa 1910-1920.

Untouched condition, antique patina left uncleaned. Delicate, light and beautifully made, with one age sign - a bite on the back of one of the paste stones shown in the photos. About 16 inches or 41 cm end to end.
Unique and rare piece survived to be shown and charished. the necklace is very light and super delicate.
