Beautiful example of genuine Art Nouveau Jugendstil porcelain and metal Display Plate or Drinks Tray. The galleried WMF metal border stylishly embraces the internal ceramic plate decorated with forest green and burgundy pink meticulously designed pattern combining both flowing lines and crisp edges, which predicts the next phase of the European design style - Art Deco.
The underside of the porcelain is marked with numbers. Metal has silver tone and is stamped WMF ostrich mark to the underside. Also signed Foreign for export to Britain.
Excluding some minor spots and scratches on the bottom, this lovely item remains in very good overall antique condition.
