A substantial and beautifully decorative silver plated serving tray, unmarked bu likely dating to the early 20th century (circa 1905–1925). The style very much resembles WMF designs, in fact the edges are identical to the WMF trays, but since there are no marks, I am describing it as WMF style.
This large and heavy tray measures an impressive 49 cm wide, with elegant integrated pierced handles and a richly cast border featuring flowing scrolls and shell motifs in the Art Nouveau taste. The design reflects the decorative refinement of the Edwardian period, while remaining practical and solid in construction.
Size of tray including handles is 49 cm x 33 cm x 4 cm.
Some faint signs of age like light scratches etc, but no loss of plating. Perfect for serving dinner, drinks or to display ornaments.
