Elegant English Art Deco period Rhine wine or liqueur stem glasses with a clear crystal body overlaid in rich strawberry pink flashing to the upper bowl, expertly cut back to reveal a precise geometric band of fan, cross, and star motifs. The bowls are paired with distinctive fully notched (serrated) stems and finely radial-cut feet. All five glasses are closely matched in size, colour tone, and cutting alignment. Price for one set of 5 glasses.
Unmarked, as is common for Walsh domestic tableware, these glasses are attributed to Walsh Walsh based on the following characteristics:
1. fully serrated / notched stems executed with consistent depth and spacing, a known feature in Walsh tableware;
2. controlled, architectural fan and star patterning typical of English factory precision;
3. pink / ruby flashing limited to the upper bowl, consistent with mid-century English production;
4. approx. 178 g per glass, aligning with English lead crystal
These are liqueur / cordial glasses, designed for serving small measures of spirits such as: white wine, liqueurs (Chartreuse, Cointreau, etc.)
port, sweet dessert wines or
after-dinner cordials
