Elegant antique English Victorian English silver plated egg epergne or serving breakfast stand for 4 eggs with a handle.
This presentation eggs tray is equipped with four egg cups and four egg spoons. The handle can be unscrewed for transportation or storage.
The handle of the egg erpegne has a scrolled loop shape. Fluted goblets securely sit on a raised small poles. The tray cleverly rests on ball feet.
Condition report: egg cups have internal plate wear inside exposing brassy base metal. The base of the stand has loss of plating all around the bent area of perimeter. The spoons have signs of age and some loss of plating.
The makers mark is stamped on the bottom of the stand: HW Ltd for Henry Wilkinson, a notable manufacturer of silver-plated items based in Sheffield, England
Dimensions: stand height, including handle - 7 inches, base diameter is about 5 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches.
