This is a silver plated serving salad bowl with two opposite curved handles. Created in England, this Edwardian style dish has pierced decor all around and four decorated feet. It includes a beautiful antique hand made clear cut glass insert made of Victorian manganese glass. The insert fits nicely and comes up to about a half of the height of the walls.
Dimensions:
Approximately 12 inches by about 6 inches by 3 1/2 inches or 30 cm by 15 cm by 9 cm - all including the handles. The insert is about 2 inches high andfits inside the bowl
Condition is good antique with loss of silver plating on the inside of the metal bowl, exposing gold-tone base metal, shown by green highlighter in the photos. The poss of plating inside is probably due to years of friction with the glass insert and cleaning.
There is no loss of silver plating on the outside.
Signed on the outside edge with makers mark and Made in England.
