Genuine antique / vintage item, not a modern reproduction.

Formidable heavy antique James Deakin & Sons Victorian Silver Plate Condiment Bottles stand on ball feet with a handle, to fit six matched culinary bottles in hand-cut crystal in a Block Cut (checkerboard) pattern with square stoppers, including a rare cayenne or chilli pepper bottle. The stand is signed to the underside for James Deakin & Sons (JD&S), Sheffield, England, N4762.

EPGS: Electro-Plated German Silver (premium nickel-silver base).

Condition Report:

Glass: This is a matched assembly of period-correct bottles. There are slight variations in the crystal shade between pieces.

Wear: The glass remains bright and crisp, with some small nibbles (small chips) bites and scratches, typical of antique cut glass on the stopper edges and bottle rims.

Silver: The stand and lids show little age-appropriate wear; no significant plate loss or structural damage.

All in all, this is a magnificent dining room decor item or a useful display of beautiful condiment vessels.

Dimensions:

Approximately 9 inches tall by 8 inches wide by 6 inches across
