Genuine antique / vintage item, not a modern reproduction.

A striking antique French toilet water / perfume bottle executed in vivid turquoise blue opaline glass. Produced by the renowned Portieux Vallerysthal glassworks circa 1900–1920.

The bottle features a lobed "Melon" body with a short neck and flared rim with the original matching mushroom-style stopper. Partially hand-painted with gold gilt accents in the crevices of the lobes and on the stopper (note: gilding often shows age-appropriate wear). The bottle is created in dense, semi-opaque "gorge de pigeon" blue. Under UV black light torch, the glass exhibits a faint green fluorescence, typical of the period's glass mixtures, hence the confirmation of its age.

The underside features the distinct pressed mold marks of Portieux Vallerysthal: FRANCE imprinted faintly along the centre, indicating production for the export market (post-1891) and model number 1000.

Base features a molded zigzag/geometric starburst pattern
