This is an antique English desk tidy, countertop papers organiser or letter rack, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1900.
Made from lighter weight wood - probably pine, it is tinted into mahogany tone, carved out in Art Nouveau shape and decorated with Roses, Buds and stems in whiplash style of the Art Nouveau era.
Arranged in a waterfall-style with three letter segments beneath a shaped back panel.

Good antique condition with one crack on the side of the back panel shown in the last collage photo, some scratches and signs of age and use consistent with its age.
