Blown Threaded Ribbed Optic Glass Small Liqueur Jug with Pewter (Étain) Handle and Foot, made in late Victorian / Belle Époque Era

Standing at a compact 7 inches tall, this elegant table ewer was historically designed for high-proof liqueurs, cordials, or absinthe water service rather than standard table wine.

Key Features & ArtistryHand-Blown Optic Glass: The clear glass body features continuous, tightly spaced horizontal ribbing (thread-glass style) spanning from the slender neck through the globular belly. The glass is flawless, with no clouding or internal fractures. Ornate Pewter Mountings: Structurally assembled with a cast pewter pedestal base, a detailed geometric relief collar, and an elegant elongated scroll handle bridging the neck and body.

Authentic Construction: The metal mountings are mechanically secured to the glass neck via a traditional slotted machine tightening screw typical of late-1800s Continental workmanship. The faint mark on the foot points to high-quality late-19th-century workshop production from the France/Belgium or Rhineland border regions.

Condition: very good antique condition: I can't see any chips, cracks to the glass; original mechanical assembly intact with minor age-appropriate pewter stains and limited patina.
