Two Beautiful Art Nouveau Continental Emerald Green Glass Vases, probably French or Bohemian.  Circa 1890s to early 1900s.

Typical art nouveau shape, slightly ribbed sides and fluted ruffled top.   The vases are hand enamelled with roses, lines of dots somewhat bluish in colour, and scroll-work with gold details on front and sides.  The shade of green glass depends on the lighting: it has bluish hue in natural daylight and it is more green in electric light.

Please note that although the vases are a pair, they are not identical due to the nature of the hand made art glass. One vase weighs 268 grams, the other is 345 grams.  The height is circa 10 inches or about 25 cm for one vase, the other is about half centimetre shorter.   Both have open-cut rough pontil - therefore, the vases are estimated to be made no later than the WW1.

The vases are in good antique condition, no chips or cracks, with some wear to the gilding, indicative and usual for their age.  There are imperfections, inclusions and small air bubbles normally found in hand blown glass.

In general, this is a stunning example of Art Nouveau Central European enamelled art glass.
