A refined pair of trembleuse chocolate or tea cups and saucers in pink and white block colour, gilt banding and handles.
The shape is borrowed from mid 18th century Sevres trembleuse cups and saucers, known as “gobelet et soucoupe enfonce” - a cup and recessed saucer.
This example combines the historic form with clean beginning of the 20th century design:
Soft pink and white colour
Wide pink ground saucers with integrated cup wells
Sculptural geometric handles fully finished in gilt.
Fine gold rims.
The bases carry a hand-painted pattern number 4774, typical of British and German porcelain.

Cup: 7 cm height × 7 cm diameter (approx.). Foot diameter: 4 cm
Saucer: 13.5 cm diameter × 3.5 cm height
Condition:
Very good vintage condition;
No chips or cracks, some wear to gilding;
Clean glaze with minor handling wear.
